Become a distribution partner
for an innovative tank building system

Add Nordweld System to your portfolio and offer tank contractors a safer, faster and more cost-efficient tank construction method.

Nordweld is a designer and manufacturer of an electromechanical tank building jacking system based on the top-down method.

The system enables work to be conducted entirely at ground level, supports a 30–40% reduction in construction time and eliminates the need for cranes and scaffolding in key process stages.

For whom?

Distribution companies

Industrial technology suppliers

Equipment brokers

Regional
integrators

Nordweld creates a clear business opportunity:
to represent a high-value, technically advanced system in a market driven by automation, labour shortages, safety requirements and pressure on project profitability.

A technology aligned with the tank construction market

Industrial tank construction is changing. Contractors need to reduce labour dependency, improve safety, shorten project schedules and deliver more predictable quality.

As traditional methods become harder to scale, the market is looking for technologies that support greater control, repeatability and efficiency in welded steel tank construction.

Nordweld responds directly to these market drivers

The system makes tank construction more controlled and mechanized.

For distribution partners, it offers a strong technical value proposition for contractors in demanding sectors such as oil and gas, LNG, petrochemicals, energy, water and wastewater, biogas, food processing and heavy industry.

What makes Nordweld different?

Electromechanical Lift Jack technology

Nordweld uses electromechanical Lift Jacks instead of hydraulic lifting systems.

This is a key differentiator in a market traditionally dominated by hydraulic solutions and gives distributors a precise technical argument in conversations with contractors and industrial decision-makers.

For distributors, this gives a clear technical argument:

Nordweld
  • precise, synchronised lifting movement
  • no hydraulic oil leakage risk
  • stable operation in changing weather conditions
  • lower maintenance complexity
  • self-locking safety mechanism
  • UL Certificate of Compliance

This allows partners to offer a system that is not just another lifting solution, but a differentiated technology platform for modern tank construction.

100% of work conducted at ground level

Nordweld

One of the strongest advantages of Nordweld is that the tank construction process is conducted entirely at ground level.

This is not only a safety feature. It is a business argument.

For contractors, ground-level operation reduces exposure to work-at-height risks, simplifies site organization and improves process control.

For distributors, it creates a clear value proposition for markets where
HSE requirements, insurance costs and labour availability
influence purchasing decisions.

Nordweld turns technology into measurable sales arguments:

reduced work-at-height exposure

improved safety positioning

simplified site workflow

possibility to work with smaller site team

lower dependency on scaffolding and work-at-height organization

more predictable project execution

stronger argumentation in regulated sectors

A system designed
for ROI-driven customers

Nordweld enables a 30–40% reduction in tank construction time compared with traditional methods.

This is one of the most important commercial arguments for a distribution partner. The system helps contractors increase project throughput, reduce labour hours, work with smaller site teams, limit crane and scaffolding costs, and improve competitiveness in tenders.

Nordweld

For your customers

this means better use of skilled teams and higher operational capacity.

Nordweld

For your company

it means representing a solution that can be positioned around ROI, not only equipment specification.

Key value drivers for the end market:

shorter tank construction time

reduced labour dependency and smaller site teams

improved repeatability and weld quality

mechanized circumferential welding from one controlled ground-level station

better project predictability

Two system models
for different tank construction needs

Nordweld is available in two main system configurations, allowing distribution partners to address different customer requirements within the field-erected steel tank market.

This gives distribution partners a structured offer that can be adapted to different technical scenarios, customer capabilities and project types.

Standard System

Designed for prefabricated rolled steel plates and CS/SS tanks up to approx. 45–50 m in diameter. It enables one-point material assembly, full-side welding preparation and mechanized welding with various methods. A welded shell attachment beam is required for lifting, with optional use of a vertical bending machine or plate track.

Advanced system

Designed for coils and flat sheets, suitable for tanks up to approx. 35–40 m in diameter. The system enables construction directly from coil or long sheets, with only one vertical weld per course when using coil. Lift Jacks with Wheel Trolley support larger stainless-steel tanks, and no welded shell attachment beams are required.

Optimized logistics
for international distribution

Modular system transportable in 20’ HC containers
Nordweld has been designed with mobility and international deployment in mind.

The modular system can be transported in 20’ HC containers, supporting efficient logistics and simplified project mobilization.

  • easier international transport
  • simplified storage and handling
  • fast mobilization for project-based demand
  • suitability for regional distribution models
  • reduced need for oversized transport
  • strong fit for contractors working across multiple sites or countries
  • This makes Nordweld particularly attractive in markets where contractors operate across regions and require technology that can move efficiently from project to project.

Business advantages:

Integrated welding solutions
that increase project value

Nordweld can also support partners with complementary welding solutions
designed for controlled, repeatable tank construction processes.

Welding Station for Plate Track / vertical assembly

Nordweld

An automated container for vertical assembly and welding of sheet metal plates.

Hydraulic actuators lock two sheets in a vertical position and provide stable, uniform pressure along the weld joint, supporting precise alignment, repeatable weld quality and faster preparation.

Welding is performed inside an enclosed container, which protects the process from wind, rain and temperature fluctuations.

Automated Welding Station for circumferential tank welds

Nordweld

A dedicated welding container for high-quality circumferential welds on cylindrical tanks.

Welding components, the torch guiding system, control unit and supporting accessories are integrated within the container. During operation, the container remains fixed while the tank rotates, enabling a continuous and consistent weld from a controlled workstation.

For a distribution partner, these solutions expand the commercial scope from a lifting system to a more complete tank construction technology package.

More than equipment — a complete cooperation model

Sales, rental, training and technical support

Nordweld offers a flexible model based on both sales and rental.

This helps partners lower the entry barrier for contractors who want to test the technology before making a full investment.

As a distribution partner, you can offer different cooperation scenarios:

• system sales for contractors investing in their own tank building technology
• rental access for project-specific demand
• pilot use before full implementation
• technical training and implementation support
• supervision and service during project deployment

A flexible model that lowers the entry barrier and supports long-term adoption.
